The War is Over!

"And there was war in heaven. ...the dragon and his angels fought back. But he was not strong enough, and they lost their place in heaven." (REVELATION 12:7-8)
Scripture Focus: Luke 10:17-24

It's hard enough to imagine heaven, let alone war in heaven. Obedient angels under Michael were locked in combat with Satan and his warriors. Shouts of war ricocheted throughout heaven, sometimes in defeat, sometimes in victory, until a victor came.

John saw a decisive change in heaven; a new force appeared enabling Michael to rally and overcome Satan whom he then cast out of heaven. No longer could Satan enter the presence of God, as in the time of Job, and accuse believers. Standing before God is our Jesus who intercedes for us, not Satan who wants to destroy us. Satan "lost his place" in heaven.

John then heard the song, "Now have come the salvation and the power and the kingdom of our God, and the authority of His Christ. For the accuser of our brothers, who accuses them before our God day and night, has been hurled down" (Revelation 13:10). War in heaven is over and the victor declared with trumpet call: King Jesus! The wounded adversary was crushed by Jesus' heel.
